INTRODUCTION

Stephane Mallat’s method not only finds edges, but classifies them into different types as well.
We study this paper, and implement the method of Mallat to multiscale edge detection and analysis.

Fourier analysis has a big problem: it tells you which frequencies exists, but not when they are.
