Wave and Sound

A harmonic (諧波) of such a wave is a wave with a frequency that is a positive integer multiple of the frequency of the original wave, known as the fundamental frequency (基頻):
  • harmonic(諧波)
  • A harmonic is any member of the harmonic series. A harmonic of such a wave is a wave with a frequency that is a positive integer multiple of the frequency of the original wave, known as the fundamental frequency.
  • fundamental frequency(基頻)
  • the 1st harmonic (第一諧波)
  • overtone(泛音)
  • any frequency greater than the fundamental frequency of a sound.
