OK I won't give my opinion, but I will give just the facts.
I was alive during the time in the 1960's, it was either 1964 or 1965 that Bruce attended the Long Beach Int. Karate Championships.
My oldest brother attended this even, he worked for the food company that sold and provided lunches and drinks.
The funny thing Chuck Norris DOESN'T mention is that Bruce Lee was sent to America by his father because Bruce was always in street fights and being in street gangs...
At the time of the late 1950's Bruce was a Real Street Fighter...Bruce Lee was the real deal and he was not a point system Martial Artist or boxer, he fought to injure/ break bones and to win.
Real Fighting and Chuck Norris knows this.
And, Chuck Norris as well as Joe Lewis, Bob Wall as well as the TOP Fighters went to Bruce Lee to train on how to improve their power punching as well as grappling.

ALL the American fighters style at this time was to throw Leg Kicks and punching in the form of stand up boxing.....Chuck Norris was a STUDENT of Bruce Lee's, he did Not just train with him, Lee was teaching him to to punch fast and stronger at that time.

All you need do is get Bruce's old books and articles of the time to see Chuck Norris (shame on you Chuck) has been a Liar over the years....

Jim Kelly exposed Chuck Norris many times in open public shortly after Bruce Lee's death.
Norris would go on to claim that he was the better fighter and that he was not Lee's student but that only trained together.................Jim Kelly between 1974 to 1976 had made it very clear, yes Chuck Norris was a student of Lee's and that he could never even touch Lee in their sparring matches.
Lastly, Bruce Lee was not gentleman when sparring, Lee created the fighting gloves (see Enter the Dragon 1973) as well as head gear, his students went ALL OUT when sparring again, Chuck Norris knows this and refuses to speak of it.  At least 7 Masters who trained with Bruce Lee and sparred him have come forward over the years to say claim that Bruce Lee was One of a Kind, and No One could touch him in a sparring section let alone a street fight....Chuck Norris you are and always have been a liar to the memory of the man that made your career, and to the man that would kick your ass on a daily basis......I know, I lived through this...

You Sir are very welcome. I can tell you, my brother as I mentioned was in the navy and stationed in California, he had finished his tour right after JFK was killed. He was a specialist on boilers on the ships. He was a fanatic for boxing and always thought and bragged about the Asian fighters. He would go back and forth to gyms at that time but there were no Asian schools in the China town area that would teach Americans, in fact they would deny that they were teaching anyone... His girlfriends dad owned the catering business and he would help them out, that's how he got to go to the events for free and mingle. I will have to ask him, I know he still has old pictures. you would be amazed to know that Bruce Lee at the time had mentioned his idol, and who he thought was one of the greatest natural fighters in the world and that was Muhammad Ali who's real name was (Cassius Clay) Bruce Lee who was notoriously obsessed with physical training, spoke back then about how both he and Ali were in (Lee's opinion) the only 2 fighters that he knew of that would train the way they did....Ali would train for 2 to 3 hours at a white mans gym, and then go back to the black peoples gym and train for another 3 to 6 hours....The same way Bruce would write in his diaries on how many punches and kicks he would practice throw a day, Ali would do the very same, this is one of the very reasons as to why they never seemed to tire, their training regiments were never equaled...Note:  there is one superior Wrestling Athlete who won a Gold Medal in Wrestling who obsessed over physical training, Mr. (Kurt Steven) Angle. Kurt ,as his brother would go on to tell, would train daily and would never quit or give in. I will try to find the articles, but I recall that Tripple H was asked as well as the Big Show, who would really win in a street fight of all the wrestlers, Trip H had said Kurt Angle would blast through everyone, his speed, strength and real wrestling knowledge and experience would wipe the floor with anyone there... Also for real athletes that were insane training fanatics, Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics would (as Lee, Ali, Angle) shoot balls from all areas of the court, 200 for each place. Bird during video tapes with Red Auerbach said he would shoot for 3 hours and then go and run 5 miles a day for his cardio. These great men were training machines and it showed, they were all head and shoulders above the rest...................Simple test for you to try for 30 days, Take a photo of yourself in a pair of shorts, no top......Every day, do 30 pushups, 30 leg squats and 30 situps after 2 weeks do them twice a day, morning and night, after the 3rd week do them 3 times a day.............. Take a picture of yourself in shorts again no top...the results of just those 30 days will astound you....Now imagine what they did, and you will see why they were the best of the best.

Hello Freddie... I will try and find the articles, but they were news clip interviews. After Bruce had died, there were a ton of people trying to capitalize and were marketing themselves as either Bruce Lee clones, or fighters trying to say they fought Lee or sparred with him, and then saying they even trained Lee. One total liar and fake was and is Gene LeBell. Very briefly, Lebell in the 1960's was considered a stunt-man. He appeared in a few of the Green-Hornet episodes. Robert Conrad from the series "The Wild Wild West" had commented if I remember on the Mike Douglas talk show about how he had a team of fighters and stunt-men for that show. Gene Lebell was one of them, the only thing that Robert Conrad said about Lebell was that he was one of the tough guys that he use to throw around in the fight scenes....Freddie here is the thing, the Karate tournaments that Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, Bob Wall were in, they were a very basic Kick, punch, come in close, uppercuts, then shove the opponents body and try to back fist or kick to the head...basically a boxing style fight with kicking allowed...Gene Lebells style was Judo, much like the Gracies first coming into the MMA, no one was really use to that style or how to fight it...Judo in the 1960's was considered a hold and throw or choke, it was not very popular from the fan prospective, believe it or not it was considered dirty fighting. People didn't pay to see someone get choked out, they wanted to see a fight......Back to Jim Kelly, Jim Kelly and a few of Bruce Lee's students were seriously upset when they had guys making claims over fighting Bruce Lee, I recall at least 2 interviews when Jim Kelly was making his movies where he told the reporter that the fight scene with Bruce and Chuck in (Way of the Dragon) was real life correct, meaning that every time Chuck would spar with Lee, Bruce would throw Chuck all over the floor and that Chuck had gone to Lee to learn how to punch fast, stronger and more effective. This is why now within the last ten years when Jim Kelly was interviewed, he would say that he (Jim Kelly) was there when Lee sparred people, and he said, no one, no one could touch him, match his speed or power and he basically intends this at Chuck Norris. Norris is the only person to claim falsely that he just trained with Lee as friends. Steve McQueen in tv interviews back then would tell whoever was interviewing him that he was one of Bruce Lee's students, but it was very hard to learn from Lee because he was so fast that he had to be shown 4 or times, also McQueen helped to get Bruce to smoke Hashish. Bruce always smoked pot as a way to slow down and to relax, I will try to find the old articles where Bruce about 3 months before he died was rushed to a hospital where they saved his life... Dan Inosanto, Lee's number 1 student had done a very long interview where he described Lee coming to him and telling him how they almost their teacher....  James Coburn (hollywood actor) another of Lee's students, would practice over at Lee's house sometimes with Steve McQueen there. Coburn was also present at some of Lee's full classes, he said Bruce would mop the floor with all of them. Dan Inosanto had shown Lee the Nun-chucks, Inosanto was supposed to be a master of many older style Asian weapons from history. Inosanto said after about a month, Bruce was superior to Inosanto and that Lee wanted to use them in the fighting scenes in the movies....You will have to dig to find many of the stories, I will try to find them and link them for you. But make no mistake, not only any, but every fighter that Bruce Lee had met during his lifetime that either trained with him, took lessons from him or sparred him, all said the same thing... Bruce was faster and more powerful than anyone they had ever encountered, and when fighting him, he would blow them away or lock them up so fast that they never had a chance. Remember, this was never hearsay, this was actual individuals that were alive and encountered him...The Only man to act as though he were superior to Bruce Lee, was Chuck Norris. The saddest part of all Freddie is that if you go back and look at all the people from Bruce Lee's movies, most got famous because of Bruce. Listen to Jackie Chan who was the stunt man in Lee's movies,,,he tells you that Bruce was too fast even for the cameras. They would have to do retakes where Bruce would purposely slow down.................Remember this, Larry Bird shooting 3 hours a day, 200 shots for each place, then 5 mile runs... Ali in a white gym then a black gym, throwing thousands of punches a day, shadowboxing hours a day...Kurt Angle fighting wrestling running, hour after hour after hour....This type of practice leads to one thing....I will get busy and find them for you!

Laughing too hard here, to a snot nosed kid that doesn't have a clue........VA Cool? Seriously? That's the name you have chosen? Wow, what are you, 15 years old, no wait, you must be the all new Karate Rapper called Mr. Ding DOng!...........? Hysterical to say the least... I clearly see after reading your internet researched essay, the "Only" Fanboi  here is you. First off, not only my brother, but military friends of his attended these events that in your lame attempt to speak of with no first hand knowledge clearly shows..... Imbeciles such as yourself would most likely demote Ali as the greatest boxer to ever live and say that he was just good. I could go into and break down each of your pathetic attempts and the moronic information in each of the paragraphs, but it's just a common waste of time. You have no idea of what you are talking about, taking lame colluded information that a few clowns spoke about after Lee's death, (writing books about Lee to make money or to get special attention).... Please Mr. Cool-Boi, stay with your rapper porn buddies and enjoy sucking each other off.... Your an idiot who was never there, never lived through it, and have no clue about any of it except for you you read on the net......But it was fun and made me laugh reading the shit you spew all from reading stories....Anyway, stick to something you know about please, and from what I read about you on the internet, that would be sucking cawks!... Ahhahahah what an asz-wipe you are! Chuck Norris said so!

Lol..Looks like somebody got butt hurt didn't you VA Cool?
Reading Comprehension is imperative for an individual to further them-self.
You responded to something I wrote with contempt, slander and hostility and now that I return it your way and  give it right back to you and now you cry like a little bitch!.  Poor little you.
And now you claim to be the mature one kid? hahaha..
This is typical with malcontents such as you who have no idea what you are talking about,  and because you looked up information on the net, you think you have the answers, you run your mouth and you just continue to stand out as a complete moron...
Nothing "That I Wrote" is Hogwash, I was there. Where were you kid ? ...Before this goes any further, where were you, answer that question and how old were you in 1964?  Still hanging in your daddys ball sack obviously!
Besides myself and my brother,  and his friends that fought and went to the events, there are a total of over 20 real time students and individuals that trained and learned from Lee who give testimony to the facts, which you in all your splendor of shielded ignorance, polish and shine with.
You are just too pompous, too inane, and a cultured clueless drone to know what reality is and was....
News Flash, Lee isn't and wasn't my idol, he was my brothers as I clearly stated.
My offering is and stands to the testimony of what I saw first hand.
His training techniques, his advanced fighting skills, his physical prowess and stature, oh wait...
How could I not see it, you are jealous. Ohhhhh, VA COOL has a man crush and is upset.
Oh well kid...... until you can clearly state where you were in 1960 to 1968, you and your "Opinion" are absolute trash.
You are angry and jealous in an obvious fashionable feverish state, made up in the folly of your inept mind.
If you don't like people hurling unkind words at you, due to the shiet you wrote,  with ignorance, malice and contempt, then remain silent.
You were never there, do to your anger and wanting to seem a zealot (unfortunately with all the wrong information) you can only lay claim to what you have read by people who at the time of Lee's life, some of who were never even mentioned, or who have distorted facts to raise their own life in hopes of a paycheck...
Go back to your comic book kid.... You have nothing and I truly mean nothing to offer here....
I am really sorry if your feelings are hurt, and your delusional mind is spinning, but you should buy some posters of Bruce and move on with your life.... You might try getting a job to start...
Say it three times fast...
Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee....
Thanks for the laughs kid!

Now we all can see the true nature of your stupidity.
Answer the question, where were you in 1960 to 1968?
What's the matter kid? ...Can't deal with your own lies?
Here is how you fail dumbazz,
First, the evidence of documented stars and students who trained under Lee.
Second, the eye witness accounts of what I have spoken (only for you to cry about)
Third, your so called web. research of a few malcontents such as Gene Labell and the other idiotic names you have given, including Chuck Norris.
When asked for you to give answers, you cry like the little bitch that you are and throw a tantrum. You claim that anyone who has ever spoken about Lee is a liar, and no matter what evidence is given, you claim it as false.
Once again.....Where were you in 1960 to 1968?
Answer it punk!
You won't, because you are nothing more than a disheveled clown who's head is deeply seeded up your own arse.
Answer the question little boy!
